- Which formula should I use?
- Use the formula printed on your marksheet, grade card or the university's conversion certificate. Universities and boards use different rules, and some changed theirs between batches. Many universities use CGPA × 10.
- Why do websites give different formulas for the same university?
- Many universities changed their rule between regulations or ordinances, and some faculties use their own. Copies of old rules stay online. That is why this tool lets you pick the formula instead of guessing it for you.
- Can I write this percentage on a job or admission form?
- If the form asks for a percentage and your university has an official conversion, use that one. When in doubt, write the CGPA and the percentage together, with the formula, or ask the university for a conversion certificate.
- How do I convert a percentage back to CGPA?
- Choose "Percentage → CGPA" at the top, pick the same formula and type the percentage. For CGPA × 10, divide the percentage by 10: 74.4% is a CGPA of 7.44.
