Anna University CGPA Calculator

Work out your GPA, CGPA and %.

Semester

Pick a grade for at least one subject to see your GPA.

How it works & FAQ
  1. Choose your department and semester: its courses and credits fill in.
  2. Pick your grade for each course.
  3. Repeat for each semester: the CGPA covers all of them.

GPA = Σ(credits × grade point) ÷ Σ(credits). CGPA is the same over every semester. Percentage = CGPA × 10. Subjects not yet passed (U, SA, WD) are left out.

Questions

Is it private?
Yes. Everything happens in your browser: your files and what you type never leave your device and are never stored on our servers. Some tools remember your last entries in this browser only, so they are there next time. We count anonymous visits, without cookies.
How is Anna University CGPA converted to percentage?
Multiply your CGPA by 10. A CGPA of 8.0 is 80%, and 7.44 is 74.4%. This calculator shows the percentage under your CGPA.
Is CGPA the average of my semester GPAs?
No. CGPA adds up credits × grade points for every subject in every semester and divides by all those credits. A semester with more credits counts for more.
What about a subject with a U grade?
A subject you have not passed yet (U, SA or WD) is left out of the GPA and CGPA here and shown as not yet passed. When you clear it, change the grade and the result updates.
Do zero-credit courses count?
No. Courses with 0 credits, such as an induction programme, never change your GPA or CGPA.
